About the Journal

Second Order, An African Journal of Philosophy is an annual peer-reviewed journal published by the Department of Philosophy, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. Its aim is to publish articles of high standard in any branch of philosophy and related fields. While the journal welcomes articles of philosophical interests in any area and tradition of philosophy, it shows a special interest in articles which encourage philosophizing in the context of African thought and belief systems. The journal also welcomes book reviews, discussion notes and critical notices. Although the journal inclines to the Anglo-saxon tradition in philosophy, it is not committed to any philosophical or ideological view.
